Lead IC Design Engineer

Position Summary 

We are looking for a motivated Lead IC Design Engineer to join our Engineering workforce. You will be assisting with the development of our next-generation power converters for a wide range of applications. You will be working on state-of-the-art technology, within a team with hands-on experience in the power electronics, IC design, and semiconductor process development areas. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Technical leadership and project management. 
  • Design integrated power converters including telemetry circuits. 
  • Design Analog/Mixed-signal blocks. 
  • Simulate and verify circuits utilizing transistor level and system level simulation tools. 
  • Drive IC layout activities. 
  • Contribute to validation and characterization efforts. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Master’s Degree (or higher) in electrical engineering or equivalent is preferred. 
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. 
  • Experience with project- and/or tech lead responsibility from previous IC projects. 
  • In-depth understanding and hands-on experience on designing analog circuits (high speed comparators, amplifiers, current sensors, temperature sensors, bandgap references, etc.). 
  • Experience with IC Design environments: Cadence (preferred), Synopsys, and/or Mentor Graphics. 


  • In-depth understanding and hands-on experience of designing power transistors, gate drivers, integrated bootstrap circuits and high-speed level shifters is a plus. 
  • Experience with power management IC design and dc-dc converters applications is a plus. 
  • Understanding and hands-on experience on power converters (such as linear regulators, Switched-Inductor DC-DC Converters, and Switched-Capacitor DC-DC converters) is a plus. 
  • Experience with PCB design, assembly, and experimental validation is a plus. 

 

Personal competences  

  • Needs to be located in Copenhagen or in commute distance. If needed, Lotus Microsystems will support and assist with Relocation for the right candidate. 
  • Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team. 
  • Creative and innovative mindset. 
  • Strong communication skills including conveying new ideas, actively participating in brainstorming sessions, and effective presentation. 
  • Strong time management skills and ability to adapt with changes of priority.
